Winter in Soelden: What to do

Soelden is a municipality in the Ötztal valley of Tyrol, Austria. It is a well-known ski and après-ski resort. On and off the slopes, Soelden offers a lot. Do you want to go to Soelden or you are still unsure? These things may help you to make a decision 🙂 When you are in Soelden, you should at least do the following things:

1.) Of course, skiing/snowboarding gets the first place. Have you mastered the big 3 (3 mountains over 3000 metres in altitude) in one day? These 3 are Schwarze Schneid, Tiefenbachkogl and Gaislachkogl. Go for it!

2.) Aprés-Ski at Philipp or Zum Kuckuck, and later you may have a look at Katapult or Fire & Ice. Jagatee, Glühwein, Shots, Drinks – what ever you desire.

3.) Go on top of Gaislachkogl to iceQ and follow Agent 007 in a secret mission… Of course you can relax, enjoy the sun and eat (expensive) dishes.

4.) Eat a great steak at “Joe’s Höhle”.

5.) Eat a “Sweet Philipp Pizza” at Philipp restaurant. Be aware: Diabetes strikes again!

6.) Take a shopping spree and check out the boutiques.

7.) Party, mountains, beats: Choose the right time and attend the Electric Mountain Festival on 2’200m!

8.) New Year’s Eve in the centre as long as you like a good firework and you are not easily afraid when other tourists let off fireworks between houses in the centre.

9.) Go for a walk along the beautiful river

10.) Go to Aqua Dome thermal spa in Laengenfeld and take a day spa to relax and regain energy.

A last one for the guys: There are gentlemen clubs like Hasenhütte (engl. bunny house) or Rodelhütte if you need some erotic action…

Do you know about other great things to do in Soelden? Let me know!
